Cinco de Mayo Hop with Sabor Papel

Hola!

¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

Welcome to my blog...

Thank you for joining us today as we hop along with Sabor Papel and Craftwell.

I am so excited to have you here!

I am going to share with you two projects that were created using the awesome Ole paper line.
This weekend is National Scrapbook Day. I will be hosting a 12 hour crop at my local scrapbook store, Scrapbook Cafe in La Puente, CA. I am calling it a Weekend Craft Fiesta! How fitting is the Ole line?! Myself and my co-host, Esther Saldana who is awesome at designing paper crafts for all themes, both used Sabor Papel for our make-n-take projects.

Here is a card that I designed. it measures 5.5 inches x 5.5 inches. I wanted to add lots of texture so I added fringe, sequins, twine, a paper doily, a die cut word, bling
and a ribbon flower. The die I used can be found on the Latina Crafter website.

Check out her blog as well, the link is below...

Next, I'm sharing Esther's project. She created a 12 inch by 12 inch scrapbook page using Sabor Papel Ole paper line. She used a lot of texture as well utilizing burlap twine, die cut doilies and paper flowers. I am hoping you love this project as much as I do. You can find Esther and more of her awesome paper crafts here on Instagram.
Here's what Esther had to say about the Sabor Papel paper lines:
"When I saw Sabor Papel for the first time at CHA, I remember thinking someone finally got it. I felt very proud that someone was giving the Hispanic culture a voice in the paper crafting industry."
Thank you Esther for all your help, you're an awesome designer!

#GuestDesigner on #LatinaCrafter blog for October

I have the honor of being a guest designer for the month of October over at Latina Crafter Blog. I am so excited to share my creations with you all! Today a short bio and introduction is posted as well as one of my cards.
Let me just tell you how much I love Latina Crafter stamps and dies! I have been sharing them with everyone here in the So Cal area. I especially love the #CoffeeThemed stamps! If you're into veneers and flair, Latina Crafter has a really awesome selection available. Their wooden veneer embellishments are very reasonably priced and the quality is above average. They are not thick like all the rest of the wooden veneer embellishments that are on the market these days.
I hope you will hop on over to the Latina Crafter Storefront to check out all of the bilingual stamps as well as their line of embellishments.
If you're in the So Cal area, I hope that you will find me online and check out one of my upcoming events. I have been hosting monthly #ShopAndCrop events over at the Prima Marketing Inc warehouse in Chino, Ca. I currently have a crop scheduled for Sat, Oct 17th. The price of the crop is $40. The price includes lunch, snacks, refreshments, a goodie bag and raffle prizes. If you'd like more info, please feel free to email me at craftyamiga at aol . com
For the month of November, I am hosting a #CoffeeAndCrafts events there at Prima as well. At my #CoffeeAndCrafts events, we have 3 teachers who will teach a mini-class. The price is $45 and you will make 3 projects. As a bonus for November, we are extending the time of the event until 8 pm. Everyone is welcome to stay to crop once your projects are completed.

Here is my project that is featured today on Latina Crafter blog. I hope you enjoy!!

#ACJWM March Stamp Release!!

Hey!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I'm excited to share all the new & exciting things going on over at A Creative Journey with Melissa! I'm on the Creative Crew & would like to share my creations with you today. I had the pleasure of working with TWO of the new stamp sets that are being released today... and let me tell you, I really LOVE them both!!
I used the NEW Spring and Summer Holiday Celebrations Stamp Set for these cards... I hope you enjoy them! This stamp set is so versatile, you can use it in many ways! I especially love making cards... I hope these will inspire you to create too! Mother's Day is right around the corner!

I used one of my new favorite dies to create this card. You can find it here: Sizzix Bigz Die Mug Spoon. I also used one of my favorite lines of paper from Authentique.
You can find it here: Authentique Paper Crush.
I loved using Prima Marketing Inc Butterfly Collection to create this card. The colors and images are so pretty! Definitely not my usual color palette choice, but I'm very happy with the results!

I also love making home decor & gift items. The next two projects were made for the Spring/Easter season. I had purchased some wooden pieces a while back, and I thought this one would be perfect for my idea. You can find these & others online here: Handmade Wood Shadow Box Supply.

I'm always thinking out of the box when crafting, so I decided to make these little containers to fill with Easter goodies for an event I have coming up. The sentiment goes perfect on my tag! I painted
peat pots then lined them with coffee filters.

Here are the rest of my creations, these were made using the NEW Weather Related Stamp Set. Like I said before, I LOVE making cards. This stamp set has lots of sentiments that can be put together to make some very cute cards!

Now that you've seen all my creations, are you ready to create on your own? How about a GIVEAWAY? How about a FREE stamp set? Yes, I said GIVEAWAY! We're giving away one of the NEW Spring and Summer Holiday Celebrations stamp sets here on my blog to one lucky commenter! All you have to do to enter the giveaway is leave a comment sharing which is YOUR favorite stamp set of the NEW releases. I will choose a random commenter as the winner. You have until 8 pm PST on Fri, March 13th to enter. Winner will be announced on Sat, March 14th on A Creative Journey with Melissa website!
